A new office tower north of downtown Dallas has landed another major tenant.
Wealth management and investment banking firm Stifel Financial Corp is renting 20,000 square feet of space in the new Harwood No. 10 office building on McKinnon Street near the entrance to the Dallas North Tollway.
Stifel now has an office in North Dallas’ Preston Center district.
“Harwood No. 10 truly is a first-class space with amenities that make clients eager to visit and advisers proud to come to work,” JR Koeijmans, Stifel’s branch manager, said in a statement. “We will have 16 experienced advisers working from the 18th floor, with the expectation to continue to grow into the space with local, tenured talent joining the firm in the coming years.
“We really couldn’t ask for anything more to show our dedication to taking care of our advisers and giving them a beautiful venue to grow and manage their practice.”
Stifel Financial Corp. has been in business since the 1800s and is based in St. Louis. The company has 400 offices nationwide.
“Stifel is a premier wealth management and investment banking firm, and we look forward to both their financial advisers and clients enjoying our restaurants, gardens and amenities throughout the Harwood District,” building developer Harwood International’s Kelly Whaley said in a statement.
Cribb Altman, Scott Shelbourne and Mike Wyatt of Cushman & Wakefield negotiated the lease with Whaley and Hannah Waidmann of Harwood International.
The 22-story Harwood No. 10 high-rise is more than 90% leased with major tenants including real estate firm Lurin, data center firm Cyrus One and law firm Reed Smith.
Harwood International’s 18-block Harwood District is between Uptown and Victory Park and includes offices, restaurant space and high-rise residential buildings.
A 22-story luxury hotel there is currently under construction.
